Vertical elements on the residential block's facade, as well as vertical aluminum louvers provide strong, clean lines that rise up to draw the eyes upwards and highlight the block's vertical height. Simple, understand colours provide a clean background for the alternating vertical elements to become evident. Meanwhile, to provide a passive design means of temperature control, large horizontal planes provide shading to the windows and openings on each unit and floor.
